Taney-area Fatalities - WWI

This is an index to the fallen soldiers of World War I who came from the Taney area (Taney, Christian, and Stone counties), as contained in the books Soldiers of the Great War. You will find a complete index for the State of Missouri from which this index was extracted, including complete images of both the index and photo pages at www.usgwarchives.org/mo/wwi/missourisoldies-greatwar.htm where they were transcribed by volunteers from Darilee Bednar's Project to put these books online. Note that the page numbers below are links into that website to the actual page images. If you happen to have a photo for one of the soldiers below that doesn't include one, you may submit a copy to me at coord@taneymo.us and I will see that they end up online and linked to these pages. Let's not forget our fallen heroes, who served their country at so great a cost to preserve the freedom of our country and of our allies. Notice how many of them died of disease, partially because of the world-wide "Spanish Influenza" pandemic that killed literally tens of millions of people, soldiers and non-soldiers.
